VARÚO /
Video, performance series.
Brighton, United Kingdom. 2015.
Performance series called VARÚO (I, II, III) based on the concepts of walking and dérive:
Walking: as an autonomous form of art, a primary act in the symbolic transformation of the territory, an aesthetic instrument of knowledge and a physical transformation of the “negotiated” space wich is converted into an urban intervention.
Dérive: A mode of experimental behaviour linked to the conditions of urban society. A technique of transient passage through varied ambiances. Also used to designate a specific period of continuous “dériving”.“Definitions” in Internationale situationniste, 1, 1958.
*Pictures from VARÚO III. SEA-RIVER, RIVER SEA: Walking, exchanging sand between the sea and the closest river using a backpack. Once in the river, comes up another action with footprints and mud.
